After breakfast, enjoy a pony ride to explore the picturesque surroundings of Pahalgam, one of Kashmir’s most popular hill resorts. Nestled amid high mountains and dense forests, Pahalgam is known for its pristine natural beauty, serene Lidder River, and nearby high-altitude lakes. The area offers a wide range of activities, including a 9-hole golf course, skiing, pony trails, horse riding, angling for rainbow and brown trout, and trekking options for both beginners and experienced hikers. You can also explore nearby attractions such as Aru Valley, Lidder Valley, Betaab Valley, and the Kolhai Glacier, as well as the ancient Shiva Temple, all at your own pace. Pahalgam remains a favorite destination for domestic tourists seeking both adventure and tranquility. Overnight stay will be at your hotel in Pahalgam.
After breakfast, start your day with a mesmerizing view of the surrounding Himalayan mountain ranges and the serene waters of Dal Lake, one of Srinagar’s most iconic landmarks. Your sightseeing tour begins with a visit to the famous Mughal Gardens, a legacy of the great Mughal emperors laid out in the 16th century along the banks of Dal Lake. Explore Chashme Shahi (Royal Spring), known for its natural spring and well-manicured terraces; Nishat Bagh (Garden of Pleasure), famous for its symmetrical terraces overlooking the lake; and Shalimar Bagh (Abode of Love), celebrated for its intricate Mughal architecture and lush, fragrant gardens.
Next, visit the Shankaracharya Temple, perched on a hillock, which offers a panoramic view of the entire city, the sparkling Dal Lake, and the winding Jhelum River below. On your way back, stop at local handloom and craft centers, renowned for their world-famous Pashmina shawls, carpets, and traditional Kashmiri handicrafts, giving you a glimpse of the region’s rich artisan heritage. After a day filled with natural beauty, history, and culture, return to your hotel in Srinagar for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, embark on a full-day excursion to Sonamarg, located 87 km northeast of Srinagar at an altitude of 3,000 meters above sea level. En route, enjoy the breathtaking drive through dense pine forests, sparkling rivers, and towering Himalayan mountains, offering some of the most spectacular landscapes in Kashmir. Sonamarg, meaning “Meadows of Gold,” is a popular destination for nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts. The area is renowned for its lush meadows, pristine lakes, and glaciers, making it a favorite spot for mountaineers, rock climbers, and trekkers. Visitors can also explore the Shri Amarnath Ji Holy Cave, an important pilgrimage site. The serene environment and dramatic mountain vistas make Sonamarg a perfect escape into nature’s beauty. In the evening, return to your hotel in Srinagar for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, drive to Gulmarg, famously known as the “Meadow of Wild Flowers”, surrounded by majestic snow-capped mountains. On a clear sunny day, you can even catch a view of Nanga Parbat, one of the highest peaks in the world. Gulmarg is a premier winter sports destination, popular for skiing, and also features one of the world’s highest 18-hole golf courses. Adventure seekers can enjoy the Gondola cable car ride, which ascends up to Khilanmarg and is Asia’s longest cable car ride, approximately 5 km in length (optional activity at your own expense). On the way, stop at Tangmarg, a quaint town en route to Gulmarg. After a day filled with scenic beauty and adventure, return to your hotel in Srinagar in the evening for an overnight stay.
After breakfast, enjoy a relaxing day on your traditional houseboat on Dal Lake, taking in the serene surroundings and the beautiful Himalayan backdrop. Later, embark on an optional 2-hour Shikara ride on the lake (at your own expense), gliding past floating vegetable gardens, lotus-filled waters, and the vibrant aquatic life. This peaceful boat ride offers a unique perspective of life on the lake and the charming riverside communities. In the evening, return to your houseboat for dinner and overnight stay, soaking in the calm and scenic beauty of Srinagar.
After breakfast, check out from your hotel or traditional houseboat and prepare for your onward journey. You will be transferred to Srinagar Airport, where you will board your scheduled flight to your next destination. As you leave, take with you the unforgettable memories of the breathtaking Himalayan landscapes, lush valleys, sparkling lakes, and serene meadows you explored during your Kashmir tour. This concludes your journey through the enchanting region of Srinagar, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonamarg, and Yusmarg, leaving you with experiences of natural beauty, adventure, and local culture that will remain with you long after your departure.
